Ken Byers is a Pickens County native with deep roots in the Upstate of South Carolina. Raised in a hardworking textile family, Ken learned the value of responsibility, persistence, and service at an early age. After graduating from Pickens High School in 1991, he joined the U.S. Army Medical Corps, serving as a combat medic and eye specialist before eventually returning home to South Carolina.
Ken later earned degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business Management and built a diverse career spanning textiles, machining, medical device manufacturing, entrepreneurship, and business ownership. His path eventually led him into home inspection, where he worked closely with buyers, sellers, homeowners, and real estate professionals. That experience gave him a valuable understanding of homes, construction, property condition, and the details that can make a major difference during a real estate transaction.
Moving into real estate felt like a natural next step. Ken combines his knowledge of homes, engineering background, business experience, and practical problem-solving skills to help clients make informed, confident decisions. His approach is straightforward, dependable, and focused on making the buying or selling process as clear and comfortable as possible.
Ken raised four children on Glassy Mountain and now lives in Clemson with his fiancé and two French Bulldogs. Having spent much of his life in Pickens County and the surrounding Upstate, he has a genuine connection to the area and the people who call it home.
Whether you are buying, selling, relocating, or simply exploring your options, Ken is committed to providing knowledgeable guidance, personal attention, and dependable service every step of the way.
